Parco Grotta Cascata Varone

A waterfall nearly 100 metres high that has carved a narrow gorge into the rock, just above Riva del Garda. Walkways and tunnels lead into the ravine, a few metres from the falling water, amid spray and roar. The visit is short but striking.

Visitor information

Open from March to early November (in winter by group booking only). Reach it by car or bike from Riva del Garda in about ten minutes, or on foot in about an hour. The visit takes half an hour. The walkways are often wet, so closed shoes are better. It pairs well with the hamlet of Canale di Tenno and Lake Tenno.
