Events in Arco – Lake Garda
Arco lies a few kilometres north of Riva del Garda, in the Sarca valley, overlooked by a medieval castle perched on a rocky outcrop. Its mild climate made it a resort for Habsburg aristocracy in the 19th century, when Archduke Albert of Austria built the Villa Arciducale here.
Today Arco is an international reference point for rock climbing, hosting the Rock Master competition every September; February brings the Austro-Hungarian Carnival.
