Events in Lonato del Garda – Lake Garda

Lonato del Garda sits inland a few kilometres from the lake; its skyline combines the crenellated profile of the Visconti-Venetian Rocca, the Duomo's dome and the civic tower. The historic centre is home to the Fondazione Ugo da Como, a historic residence with a rich library.

Between July and August the Rocca hosts a programme of opera, theatre and concerts; the weekly market is held on Thursdays. As a town that doesn't sit on the lake, Lonato has a rhythm less tied to tourist seasonality and is a pleasant visit outside summer too.
