Things to do in Peschiera
Peschiera stands where the Mincio river flows out of the lake, a crossroads since Roman times. Its historic centre, enclosed by star-shaped Venetian fortifications, and the prehistoric pile-dwelling remains nearby have earned it two UNESCO recognitions. Served by the Milan-Venice line and the A4 motorway exit, it's one of the easiest lake towns to reach without a car.
