Events in Lazise – Lake Garda
Italy's first municipality, autonomous since 983, Lazise is today one of the best-preserved walled towns on the Veneto shore, with the five-towered Scaliger Castle. On the main square stands the Dogana Veneta, a 14th-century building now a venue for events and concerts.
In summer the town hosts "Lazise Notte Classica", a series of classical and opera music. Being one of the more touristy towns on the Veneto shore, it can get crowded in summer; the low season allows for a calmer stroll along the walls and historic centre.
