Events in Monzambano – Lake Garda

Monzambano sits on the morainic hills of the Alto Mantovano, with a medieval castle surrounded by well-kept walls. Its best-known hamlet, Castellaro Lagusello, is among the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" and looks onto a heart-shaped little lake, with a UNESCO pile-dwelling site.

Local events include the Sagra del Polastrel in the hamlet of Olfino in mid-July, punctuating the summer; in spring, Castellaro Lagusello hosts a flower and plant market. As a hill town away from the lake, it's worth visiting year-round, with spring and autumn its most striking seasons.
