Events in Salò – Lake Garda
Salò has been the Garda area's cultural hub for centuries, sitting on the gulf that bears its name, the widest bay on the lake. The arcaded street linking the Clock Tower to the Duomo runs through the heart of town; the Mu.Sa. museum devotes a section to the area's refined violin-making tradition.
In summer, the Duomo and the town's squares host the "Estate Musicale del Garda" series of classical and chamber music; the weekly market is held on Saturdays. Thanks to the width of the gulf, Salò has one of the most scenic lakefront promenades on the Lombardy shore.
