Events in Gargnano – Lake Garda

Gargnano is a municipality spread across the mountains and lakeside hamlets, including Bogliaco, home to the historic Circolo Vela Gargnano sailing club. Capers, lemons and the cloister of San Francesco are best discovered on foot or by bike, along a coastline less built-up than other towns on the Brescia shore; the writer D.H. Lawrence stayed here at Villa Feltrinelli, now a luxury hotel.

Between late August and early September, Gargnano hosts the Centomiglia, the historic sailing regatta organised by the Circolo Vela Gargnano since 1951 along the shores of all three of the lake's regions. Outside that week, it remains one of the quietest towns on the Brescia shore.
